In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind,

and every winged fowl after his kind:

and God saw that it was good.

And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful,

and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind,

cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind:

and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind,

and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

 

One of the big problems with the theory of evolution is the lack of evidence for interspecies evolution or macro evolution.

In other words, a cat is not going to evolve into a dog. And a dog and cat are never going to mate to have a dat!

(Micro evolution is a different thing altogether and is a scientifically proven fact by observation. We know that there are genetic mutations or changes within a species (micro evolution). These mutations or changes result in all of the different types of dogs, cats, and horses we see. They may also result in diseases and deformities which are sometimes naturally selected out of the population of a species by not reproducing. This is called natural selection. As Christians, we need to be careful to not only divide the scriptures correctly, but also to correctly divide other truth and not reject micro evolution just because it carries the “evolution” name. When we do this, we lose credibility and are not taken seriously. We do not need to hide from the truth, Biblical or scientific.)

Our scripture uses the phrase “after his (or their) kind” 7 times. It’s clear from this repetition that God created the species separately and that each of them reproduced after its own kind. They did not evolve into other species like evolution teaches.

God created these animal species on the fifth and sixth days of creation. He also created man in His own image on the sixth day.

Macro evolution has had this same problem from the beginning. Even Charles Darwin who wrote The Origin of the Species, the “bible” of the theory of evolution, admitted that the fossil record was seriously lacking in transitional or in-between species.

In other words, if all of the animal species had a common ancestor as Darwin claimed, where were all of these transitional species’ fossils? They simply are not in the fossil record. But, they should be there, to show all of the in-between species.

Darwin said that he was confident that as more digs were made and more fossils were uncovered, these transitional species would be found. But, over 100 years have passed and scientists are no closer to finding these transitional species than they were in the 1800’s.

Why is that? “After his kind” is why. The species did not evolve from a common ancestor, they were created as their own species from the hand of God.

There are no transitional species to be found. They never existed. And now, once again, science is catching up with the Bible.

In May 2018 two scientists, Mark Stoeckle from The Rockefeller University in New York and David Thaler from the University of Basel in Switzerland, published findings that have used “DNA barcodes” across 100,000 animal species to determine that almost all of the species emerged about the same time as humans.

(Disclaimer: there is much in this article that many of us will find objectionable. The point I am focusing on is the admission that almost all of the animal species and humans are about the same age.)

I am not going to get into all of the scientific details here. Please read the article cited above if you’re interested in a more detailed explanation of the science.

The main points are this:

1. The animal species are the same age as humans
2. The “settled science” of evolution is not so settled now
3. It’s nice when science catches up to the Bible (my point)

True science will never contradict the Bible, which is the word of God.

Let’s continue to pray that scientists everywhere will be blessed to discover the truth, and that all glory will be given to our Father in Heaven and His Son our Lord Jesus Christ who made all things.
