Unity

by

Unity in the church is not an option. It is a must have. Elder Harter gives us 4 lessons in unity from Philippians chapter 2.
1) The Motive for Unity
2) The Characteristics of Unity
3) The Method of Unity
4) The Model of Unity
“If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” ~Philippians 2:1-5

Angels

by

Elder Harter tells us that we do indeed have guardian angels. They are real and are God’s special messengers sent to help us in times of trouble. “The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” ~Psalms 34:7

There’s More With Us Then There Is With Them

In his July 4th sermon, Elder Harter shows us that God is concerned with government. Our country was founded on Christian principles, and God has blessed America because of it. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” ~ Psalms 33:12

A New Commandment

by

Elder Gus Harter preaches his last sermon at Bethany on love, taking his text from John 13:31-34. He reminds us that we should follow the Great Example, Jesus Christ. “Love one another; as I have loved you.” ~ John 13:34
